Lightning Bolt Inlay Pendant Repair
Last year, I replaced all of the stones in a lightning bolt inlay pendant for a client who didn’t like the original stones.
This year, they came back with another lightning bolt pendant (seen in the image here) and wanted all of the stones replaced with mother-of-pearl.
I drew up a few different design options for the mother-of-pearl that had a more contemporary spin and would enhance the geometry of the lightning bolt.
Out of the 4 options I sent, my client liked this one the most because it really made the lightning bolt look electric.
From there, I was able to remove all of the original stones in the inlay, cut all new mother-of-pearl, set the stones with a high-strength and non-yellowing epoxy before cutting and polishing everything flush.

Just like with the first lightning bolt pendant I re-inlaid for them, my client was thrilled with how this second inlay pendant came out!
