Lapis Reflection Collection
There’s a quiet strength in moving within something larger than yourself—these pieces explore that through stone and form. ...
These pieces are built directly into stone through hand-cut inlay, where form emerges through the material rather than being placed on top of it.
As a child, I was transfixed by the mermaids at Weeki Wachee Springs. Figures suspended underwater moved with a kind of effortless control. That sense of wonder lingers here, but takes on a quieter weight.
There’s a balance within these forms. The mystical feminine sits alongside a steady strength, existing within a force as powerful and unpredictable as water.
Each piece holds that balance—strength, movement, and a quiet sense of control.

The mystical feminine of mermaids is what first drew me to them, but there’s also a freedom and strength in being about to coexist with a sometimes unseemingly powerful force of water. With that in mind, I made my Lapis Reflection mermaid as a talisman for freedom and confidence. These are the earrings that go with that collection.

Cut from lapis lazuli, this mermaid is built directly into the stone through hand-cut inlay, where the figure emerges through material rather than being placed on top of it.
As a child, I was transfixed by the mermaids at Weeki Wachee Springs State Park—women in bright tails, suspended underwater, moving with a kind of effortless control. That early sense of wonder stayed with me, but over time it shifted into something else.
What draws me now is the balance they hold—both the mystical feminine and a quiet strength, existing within a force as powerful and unpredictable as water.
This piece was made as a small talisman for that feeling: freedom, confidence, and the ability to move within something larger than yourself.
