Beginner/Intermediate Cobblestone Inlay Jewelry
Oct. 2026 at Boulder Metalsmithing Association (in-person)
This class will be both a beginner cobblestone inlay and intermediate class (to accommodate those that have taken my beginner class last year).
In a cobblestone inlay, each stone is cut and domed separately before it’s put together in one setting.
For beginners, we will be making a rectangular pendant from scratch, then you can get creative with the kinds of colored stones you want to use for your pendant! Besides learning inlay basics, you’ll really hone your lapidary calibration skills in this class so that you can work up to advanced inlay techniques with organic-shaped stones.
For intermediate students, students will learn how to build channel inlays with sterling silver between stones and how to inlay more complicated and organic shaped-stones.
Still have more questions before taking the leap?
You deserve to feel confident that you have what it takes to make these inlay projects! No question is too big or too small: just fill out the form and I’ll be right with you!
