Multi-Stone Inlay Ring Repair

This local found out about my inlay jewelry in a Fox 13 TV segment and reached out to see if I could repair his favorite Native American ring. Some of the stones had fallen out and he had someone try to repair it, but the stone didn’t fit right.

I stared by removing the stones so I could polish and clean up the ring band. When I removed the stones, I noticed that the original artist had used pieces of folded up card stock to prop up the turquoise in the ring.

This isn’t ideal as over time, the card stock will absorb water and squish together, which most likely led to stones falling out.

Once all of the stones were removed, I could reassemble the inlay with new pieces of stone (pictured below).

Then the stone can be cut to fit the ring setting perfectly before it is polished.
