This figurative cobblestone inlay pendant is inspired by the nesting dolls I adored in my youth.
Nesting dolls, with their intricately nested layers, represent the complexity (and often contradictions) of our own identities---hidden and waiting to be discovered. Just as one doll contains another in a motherly way, we should embrace and nurture all of the different parts of ourselves.

Set in Argentium silver and sterling
Cobblestone inlay made with 7 hand-cut stones including petrified wood, phosphosiderite, and a striped intarsia made with howlite, lapis lazuli, petrified wood, chrysocolla, and fluorite
Pendant measures 1 ¼ x 13/16 x 3/8 in.
Includes a 18-inch sterling silver chain and a 2-inch extender
Everything from the carefully-cut stones to the silversmithing is done in my Tampa, Florida studio.
