This figurative cobblestone inlay pendant + brooch is inspired by the nesting dolls I adored in my youth.
Nesting dolls, with their intricately nested layers, represent the complexity (and often contradictions) of our own identities---hidden and waiting to be discovered. Just as one doll contains another in a motherly way, we should embrace and nurture all of the different parts of ourselves.

Set in Argentium silver and sterling silver
Cobblestone inlay made with 7 hand-cut stones including Inlaid petrified wood, phosphosiderite, and a checkerboard intarsia made with howlite, lapis lazuli, amazonite, petrified wood, sodalite, fluorite and chrysocolla
Pendant/brooch measures 1 ¾ x 1 3/16 x 3/8 in.
Includes a 18-inch sterling silver chain and a 2-inch extender for a total of 20 inches.
Everything from the carefully-cut stones to the silversmithing is done in my Tampa, Florida studio.
