News: 2022 Halstead Grant Finalist

The Halstead Jewelry Grant is like the Super Bowl of jewelry businesses: emerging jewelers from across the U.S. pull together their best jewelry images and spend months training (aka writing 14+ pages to answer business-related questions) before sending in our best applications we can muster.

After I made it in the top 10 semi-finalists for the Halstead Grant back in 2020, I knew I wanted to try again to see if I could win it big! (Plus, 15 years of volleyball has made me only just a little bit competitive).

I’m proud to announce that I am a 2022 Halstead Finalist, so I made it to the top 5 this year! Though I didn’t win the main grant (which was won by Octave Jewelry), I still won a nice $500 cash prize and have received some amazing feedback from industry professionals on how to grow even more as a solo jewelry entrepreneur.

If I’m being honest, I didn’t even think I should try to submit an entry this year, as I was still trying to get back on my feet after giving birth to Colton at the end of December just last year in 2021, but I feel accomplished by just giving this application and my business as much of me as possible while still prioritizing family—because wins don’t taste as sweet if you don’t have family to share it with!

And I especially want to thank you all for supporting me and my artistic inlay jewelry. Whether or not you purchase from me, just hearing your kind words about what I’m making means so much to me!

Thanks for sharing this win with me! :)
