Inlay Bail Course FAQs:

  • Is this course in-person? Where is it?

    • This course is 100% online, so you can learn anywhere you are! You have 24/7 access to the videos on my website once you sign up, so you can watch and re-watch them as many times as you need to while you’re working on your own project.

  • What will I get in the inlay bail class?

    • You’ll learn how to craft 3 different styles of sterling silver bail blanks, and 3 different ways of inlaying the stones for a lot of inspiring variety. One method even allows you to add the jump ring and bezel cup later, so you could sell just the bail to other jewelers or add something to the bail later.

    • To make it easier to navigate, the 1.5 hour long course is split up into 5 parts, with a bonus troubleshooting section that walks you through how to easily remove stones from your bail if they happen to shift while the epoxy was curing.

  • What skills do I need to have before taking the course?

    • All you need is basic silversmithing skills like soldering (pick soldering will prove helpful), annealing, sawing, filing, sanding, and polishing.

    • For the lapidary portion, you should be fairly proficient at making cabochons with bonus points if you’ve already tried your hand at some calibration with templates. A go-get’um kind of attitude will also help for this self-guided course!

  • What tools and materials will I need?

    • For all of my tutorials, I have complete lists of the tools I use for the project. Once you buy the course and click on each video, the materials list will be in the written description below it. If you would like to know ahead of time what you’ll need, just use the contact form at the bottom of the page and I’ll email it to you or reach me directly at info@c-albritton.com

  • How long will I have access to the course?

    • You’ll have access to the course for at least 6 months which will give you plenty of time to get the materials you need, watch and re-watch the videos, and make a bunch of inlay bails!

  • What if I get stuck in the middle of the project?

    • A big perk of in-person jewelry classes is that an instructor is there to swoop in and take over if you're struggling with something. Instead of doing the work for you, it’s more valuable if you learn how to do it yourself—with a little guidance. For simple problems, we can email or have a short phone convo but for those that would like something extra, we can schedule a one-on-one video chat. Just use the contact form below to get in touch when you’re ready!

  • Can I get a refund for the class?

    • Because of the nature of online courses being able to be so quickly accessed, I cannot give out refunds. It takes me a lot of time to do everything myself from the filming, editing, voiceovers, and more to make these as thorough as possible, so I hope that you can understand! :)
